A huge number of medical conditions are what’s called invisible illnesses.
Meaning they don’t come with obvious outward signs.
Examples include things like:
• autoimmune disorders
• chronic fatigue conditions
• neurological disorders
• digestive diseases
• chronic pain conditions
• many mental health conditions
The symptoms are real.
The impact is real.
But to someone looking from the outside, it’s easy to assume everything is normal.
And that’s how people end up saying:
	“You don’t look sick.”
Usually followed by an awkward pause.

If you live with chronic illness, you've probably heard all of these at least once.
Usually from someone who means well.
But after the hundredth time… it gets old.</image:caption></image:image><lastmod>2026-03-15T04:31:03+00:00</lastmod><changefreq>monthly</changefreq></url><url><loc>https://stillhereclub.org/2026/03/17/10-signs-youre-running-on-caffeine-and-pure-stubbornness/</loc><image:image><image:loc>https://stillhereclub.org/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/still-here-chronically-surviving.png</image:loc><image:title>still here chronically surviving</image:title><image:caption>Some people wake up feeling refreshed.
Others wake up like a phone at 3% battery, slap some caffeine on the problem, and keep going anyway.
If that sounds familiar… welcome to the club.
