Welcome to the Still Here Club ⚡

If you're reading this, you survived something. Illness. Surgery. Addiction. Trauma. Depression. Loss. And you're still here. Welcome to the club. ⚡ Still Here Club

Sometimes survival looks different than people expect.

It doesn’t always look heroic.

It doesn’t always look strong.

Sometimes it looks like getting out of bed when your body hurts.

Sometimes it looks like showing up to another appointment you didn’t want.

Sometimes it looks like laughing at dark humor because it’s the only thing keeping you sane.

And sometimes it simply looks like this:

You’re still here.

That’s what the Still Here Club is about.

What is the Still Here Club?

The Still Here Club is a community built around one simple truth:

Life can be incredibly hard, and people who keep going deserve recognition.

This space is for survivors of all kinds.

People living with chronic illness.

People recovering from trauma.

People navigating disability.

People rebuilding their lives after addiction, grief, loss, or medical crises.

And people who are simply fighting battles that no one else can see.

If you woke up today and kept going — even when it was hard — you qualify.

Membership granted.

Why Humor Matters

If you’ve ever been through something difficult, you probably know this already:

Sometimes humor is the only thing that gets you through.

Dark humor, gallows humor, survivor humor — whatever you want to call it — has long been a coping tool for people facing serious challenges.

It allows us to acknowledge the reality of what we’re going through without letting it completely crush us.

Laughing in the middle of chaos doesn’t mean you don’t care.

It means you’re still fighting.

That’s where Mr Skelly comes in.

Meet Mr Skelly

Mr Skelly is the unofficial mascot of the Still Here Club.

He represents the strange combination of resilience, exhaustion, sarcasm, and stubborn survival that many people experience while navigating difficult circumstances.

Some days he’s drinking coffee because he hasn’t slept.

Some days he’s writing down important things because brain fog is real.

Some days he’s just sitting quietly trying to make it through the day.

But no matter what kind of day it is, he’s still here.

And that’s the whole point.

Why This Community Exists

The Still Here Club was created to do a few important things:

• Reduce stigma around illness, disability, trauma, and recovery

• Remind people that they are not alone in their struggles

• Use humor and honesty to talk about difficult experiences

• Support and grow a community of survivors

A portion of proceeds from Still Here Club merchandise also goes back into supporting community initiatives and advocacy for people living with health challenges and disabilities.

Because survival shouldn’t have to happen alone.

If You Found Your Way Here

If this website found its way to you, there’s a good chance you’re going through something difficult.

Whatever it is, your experience matters.

You don’t have to be perfect.

You don’t have to be strong every day.

You don’t have to have everything figured out.

You just have to keep going.

And if you’re reading this right now…

Well.

Look at that.

You’re still here.

⚡ Welcome to the club.

Thank you. Humor has been my biggest coping tool through life. There are many times that if I wasn’t laughing I would have been crying. Many times I was doing both simultaneously. The more complex my medical adventures became, the darker my humor went.

Yep – I hear you – the trick for me was remembering to lighten up a little when I could _ the dark humor can become a dark place to reside for too long – best wishes 🫂💜
